The refill schedule page helps to ensure you’ll receive your follow-up lab requisitions on time so that you have a smooth refill process and don’t miss a single dose of your medication.
When a prescription is issued, the reschedule date will automatically adjust based on the number of pills per issued bottle prescribed and will count down to your next approximate reschedule date.
While it may seem like a tool for patients to recount their PrEP pills on hand, this also helps to inform Freddie when you will need your follow-up lab requisition for your next 90-day prescription. In order to give you plenty of time to visit the lab and ensure a consistent supply of PrEP, we will send out a follow-up lab requisition once you have approximately 1 full bottle left.
For this reason, please keep your refill schedule updated to include the number of bottles you have on hand, plus any refills you might have waiting for you at the pharmacy.
Note: We understand that select insurance policies will only allow 30 pills to be released at a time as this is a high-cost medication. If you were issued a 90-day prescription but only received one 30-day bottle, please call your preferred pharmacy when you have 7-10 pills left on hand to request your next 30-day refill.
The images below are examples of how you can tell if you have refills on hand at the pharmacy:
Note that placement of this may vary by pharmacy and the labels created
