If you have any STI symptoms (e.g. rash, sores, discharge or burning when you pee), we recommend that you seek in-person care at a sexual health clinic, walk-in clinic or your family doctor (whichever can see you soonest). You should avoid sex until you’ve been seen by a healthcare professional and received treatment, if you need it. Depending on your treatment, you may also need to avoid sex for a period while the medication is working.
