Additional treatments are typically bundled with your initial PrEP prescription or sent during your regular PrEP renewal cycle.
Depending on where you are in your care journey, follow the steps below to request new treatments or refill existing ones.
Option 1: Adding treatments to your PrEP renewal
Use this if you are already an active Freddie Patient and it is time to renew your PrEP prescription.
Step 1: Start your PrEP renewal
Log into the Freddie Patient Portal and begin the PrEP renewal process. You will first be prompted to complete the self-assessment questionnaire.
Step 2: Select your additional treatments
The process for adding/refilling treatments depends on the type you are looking for.
- For DoxyPEP: You can request DoxyPEP directly within the PrEP self-assessment.
- For all other treatments: Complete your PrEP self-assessment questionnaire first, then return to your Dashboard. You will see a separate questionnaire for any other available treatments.
Step 3: Lab Work and Clinical Review
Once your lab results are in or you let us know you attended labs, a Freddie clinician will review your requests. If eligible, all prescriptions will be issued together.
Note: If our clinical team needs more details, they will send a clinical message via the Freddie Patient Portal to ensure the medication is the right fit for you.
Option 2: Adding additional treatments to your initial PrEP prescription
Use this if you have completed your initial intake but haven’t received your first PrEP prescription from Freddie yet.
Step 1: Select your additional treatments
The process for adding treatments depends on the type you are looking for.
- For DoxyPEP: If you missed the option to add DoxyPEP during the initial intake, please contact our Support Team for assistance.
- For all other treatments: Log into the Freddie Patient Portal. In the dashboard section, you will see the option to complete the specific questionnaire for the treatment(s) you’d like to add.
Step 3: Lab Work and Clinical Review
Your clinician will review these requests alongside your initial PrEP intake or when your lab results are reviewed. If eligible, your prescriptions will be issued together.

What if I need a refill before my next PrEP renewal?
If you run out of an additional treatment before your PrEP is due for renewal, or if you made an error on your questionnaire, please contact our Support Team. We will help you coordinate an early refill or correction.
