It’s safe to take Tylenol or Advil while you’re on PrEP. You don’t need to wait to take them or space them out from your PrEP dose.
Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is completely safe to use. You do not need to limit the use of Tylenol while taking PrEP.
However, it is advised to limit the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) while on PrEP as these medications can put extra strain on your kidneys. Examples of NSAID's are:
- Ibuprofen (Advil)
- Naproxen (Aleve)
- Aspirin
