Freddie is excited to offer additional treatment services to eligible patients!
Please contact us at Freddie if you’d like to complete an intake form to begin receiving additional treatments from Freddie. Otherwise, if you are comfortable waiting until your next PrEP refill, you’ll automatically receive the online form via email once you complete the self-assessment on your Freddie patient portal for each PrEP refill cycle. From there, you can request additional treatments at that time to receive the new prescription with your PrEP delivery.
We’re currently offering the following additional treatments:
-STI prevention (Doxy-PEP)
-Herpes (HSV) treatment
-Hair loss prevention
-Erectile dysfunction treatment
-Premature ejaculation treatment
Please note that only Freddie patients with an active PrEP prescription can receive additional treatment prescriptions. If you decide to stop using Freddie services for your PrEP prescription, we will not be able to continue your prescriptions for additional treatments.
FILLING YOUR PRESCRIPTION
Once your online intake form has been completed, your information will be added to your chart for our Freddie clinical team to review. If you are eligible and you have already received your PrEP prescription from Freddie, your prescriptions for the additional treatments you requested will be sent out at the same time as your next PrEP prescription refill.
If there is additional information needed prior to issuing a prescription for this medication, your Freddie clinician will reach out to you in a clinical message in your Freddie patient portal to ask a few more questions and to confirm if the medication is a right fit for you.
If you are looking to receive the additional treatment prescription before your next PrEP refill, we ask that you please reach out to our support team to request this so that we may notify your Freddie clinician. If you use our partner pharmacy Affirming Care Pharmacy to fill your prescriptions, please note that there may be an additional delivery cost since the prescription would not be delivered with your PrEP refill.
PHARMACY OPTIONS & COST OF MEDICATIONS
Upon completion of the online intake form, you will be presented with a generalized list of prices per medication that you have requested. A prescription for these additional medications would be an out-of-pocket cost as they are not covered by Freddie, however they may be covered under certain private drug benefit plans. If applicable, please check with your insurance to see if these medications are covered. Please note that costs for these medications may vary by pharmacy.
If you are receiving your prescriptions through our partner pharmacy, Affirming Care Pharmacy, they will call you to confirm the cost of the new medication and any additional shipping costs that may apply, prior to arranging for delivery/pickup.

If you are using a non-partner pharmacy, or a local pharmacy of your choice to fill your Freddie prescriptions, you will need to check in with your pharmacy to confirm the cost of the new medication. You will then fill and pick up your medication as per your pharmacy permits. Please note that you may be responsible for any dispensing fees and additional costs as outlined by that specific pharmacy.
REFILL PROCESS
If you are currently on PrEP and have previously received additional treatments through Freddie, the refill process will be similar to that of receiving PrEP refills.
With each PrEP refill cycle, once your next routine lab requisition has been added to your Freddie portal dashboard, you will be prompted to complete your self assessment. Once your self assessment has been completed, you will receive an email with the additional treatment intake form. You will need to complete the additional treatment form every refill cycle, in order to continue to receive these additional medications. It is important to fill out the additional treatment form for your refills as closely as possible to when you complete your self assessment, ahead of when you’re expecting to get your PrEP refill, in order to give time for your clinician to review your responses and send out your prescriptions in a timely manner.
In the event that you do not want an additional treatment refill anymore, simply choose to not fill out the form and no medications will be requested.
FAQ
Can I still get additional treatment prescriptions if I am not an active Freddie patient?
No. Please note that patients can only receive prescriptions for additional treatments if they are an active Freddie patient and are actively receiving a PrEP prescription through Freddie. If you decide to stop using Freddie services for your PrEP prescription, we will not be able to continue your prescriptions for additional treatments. We recommend that you connect with your primary care provider to discuss your options for treatments you are interested in exploring.
Can I get a refill for my additional treatment medications if I already have a full PrEP prescription on hand, or have just recently received my PrEP refill?
Yes! If you wish to receive your treatment medication now rather than waiting for your next refill cycle, please reach out to our support team and we will be able to assist you. Please note that if you are using our partner pharmacy for your prescriptions, there may be an additional delivery cost since the prescription would not be delivered with your PrEP refill.
Will my additional treatment medications be added to my Freddie patient portal, like my PrEP is? Will I get notified when a prescription has been sent to my pharmacy?
Yes! However, please note that this is just for Doxy-PEP prescriptions. Any other additional treatment prescriptions that you are receiving will not be added to your Freddie patient portal. If you are uncertain if a prescription for these additional treatments was sent out, please contact your preferred pharmacy. If they do not have a prescription on file, please reach out to our support team and we can assist you further.
How do I access the intake form to request additional treatment medications?
With each PrEP refill cycle, once your next routine lab requisition has been added to your Freddie portal dashboard, you will be prompted to complete your self assessment as per usual. Once your self assessment has been completed, you will receive an email with the additional treatment intake form. Please check your junk folders for this form. If you are having troubles accessing this intake form, please reach out to our support team and we will be happy to send you the intake form.
*IMPORTANT* Please ensure you are completing the form using the same email address that you are currently using to log in to your Freddie patient portal. This will ensure we will receive your answers from your intake form in a timely manner and will ensure a smooth refill process.
Do I need to book an appointment with the clinical team in order to request a prescription for additional treatment medications?
Unless an appointment has been requested by our clinical team to obtain additional information prior to issuing a prescription, an appointment is not required. If you prefer to speak with a Freddie clinician first, you can use the following link to schedule a call: http://app.gofreddie.com/call
Do I have to use Affirming Care Pharmacy or can I use a local non-partner pharmacy for my additional treatment refills?
No! If you are already receiving your PrEP prescriptions from our partner pharmacy Affirming Care Pharmacy, please note that any additional treatment medications will also be sent to Affirming Care pharmacy, and will normally be sent out at the same time as your PrEP refill, which will reduce any additional shipping costs.
If you would like your additional treatment medications sent to a local pharmacy of your choice, we can absolutely assist with that. However, please note that we cannot provide any financial assistance or guarantee any delivery options with external pharmacies, and you may have to pay additional dispensing fees.
How much is the medication going to cost?
Once you have completed the form, you will be presented with a list of prices for each medication that you are interested in receiving. Please note that these costs are guidelines and costs per medication may vary by pharmacy, dosage, and frequency of use. A prescription for these additional medications would be an out-of-pocket cost as they are not covered by Freddie, however they may be covered under certain private drug benefit plans. If applicable, please check with your insurance to see if these medications are covered. Once a prescription has been sent to your preferred pharmacy of choice, the pharmacy will confirm the cost and coverage upon filling the prescription. At this time, should you choose not to fill the prescription, you are able to opt out.
