Freddie is excited to now offer additional treatment services to eligible patients!
We’re currently offering the following additional treatments:
- STI prevention (Doxy-PEP)
- Herpes (HSV) treatment
- Hair loss prevention
- Erectile dysfunction treatment
- Premature ejaculation treatment
Please note that only Freddie patients with an active PrEP prescription can receive additional treatment prescriptions. If you decide to stop using Freddie services for your PrEP prescription, we will not be able to continue your prescriptions for additional treatments.
If you have already received a prescription for additional treatments from Freddie and you are in need of a refill, please check out this article

Filling your prescription
When it's time to renew your PrEP prescription, start by completing the self-assessment questionnaire. Once finished, a request form will appear on your patient dashboard for additional treatments. Scroll to the bottom of the dashboard and click "Get Started" to answer a few medical questions and submit your request for additional treatments.
After you complete the intake form, your information will be added to your chart for our clinical team to review. If you're eligible, any requested additional treatment prescriptions will be sent out with your next PrEP renewal.
If more information is needed before prescribing the medication, your clinician will contact you via clinical message to ask follow-up questions and confirm whether the treatment is appropriate for you.
If you’d like to receive the additional treatment prescription before your next PrEP refill, please contact our support team so we can notify your clinician.
Helpful notes:
- Completing the questionnaire does not mean you will receive a prescription right away. Your clinician will issue your additional treatment prescription refill alongside your PrEP refill once your lab work has been completed.
- You will need to complete the online form each time you need a refill on your additional treatment prescriptions
Pharmacy Options & Cost of Medications
After completing the online intake form, you'll see a general price list for the medications you've requested. These prescriptions are not covered by Freddie and will be an out-of-pocket cost, though some private insurance plans may provide coverage. Please check with your insurer to confirm. Medication prices may also vary by pharmacy.
If you're using our partner pharmacy, Affirming Care Pharmacy, they will call you to confirm the medication cost and any shipping fees before arranging delivery or pickup.
If you choose a non-partner or local pharmacy, you'll need to contact them directly to confirm pricing and fill your prescription according to their process. You may also be responsible for any dispensing fees or additional charges set by that pharmacy.

FAQ's
Will my additional treatment medications be added to my Freddie patient portal, like my PrEP is? Will I get notified when a prescription has been sent to my pharmacy?
Yes! However, please note that this is just for Doxy-PEP prescriptions. Any other additional treatment prescriptions that you are receiving will not be added to your Freddie patient portal at this time. If you are uncertain if a prescription for these additional treatments was sent out, please contact your preferred pharmacy. If they do not have a prescription on file, please reach out to our Support team and we can assist you further.
Do I have to use Affirming Care Pharmacy or can I use a local non-partner pharmacy for my additional treatment refills?
No! If you are already receiving your PrEP prescriptions from our partner pharmacy Affirming Care Pharmacy, please note that any additional treatment medications will also be sent to Affirming Care pharmacy, and will normally be sent out at the same time as your PrEP refill, which will reduce any additional shipping costs.
If you would like your additional treatment medications sent to a local pharmacy of your choice, we can absolutely assist with that. However, please note that we cannot provide any financial assistance or guarantee any delivery options with external pharmacies, and you may have to pay additional dispensing fees.
Do I need to complete additional lab testing for a new treatment?
No. Unless otherwise specified by your Freddie clinician, additional lab testing outside of your regular PrEP lab testing is not required.
