DoxyPEP and additional treatments are generally sent together with each renewal cycle of your regular PrEP prescription. Here's how the refill process works for additional treatments:
You'll first need to start the PrEP renewal process by completing the self-assessment on your Freddie Patient Portal.
Once you have completed your self-assessment questionnaire, you will be prompted to indicate whether you would like a refill of your DoxyPEP prescription.
After clicking “Yes” you will be asked a series of questions that are required for the clinical team to review prior to issuing any new refills.
Once the self-assessment and DoxyPEP questionnaires are completed, a form to request a refill for any other additional treatments will populate in your patient dashboard.
Click the "Get Started" button to begin answering a series of medical questions to request your additional treatment prescription.
Ensure you click “Yes” to confirm that you have read and understood the education provided for your chosen additional treatment medication.
Also, make sure to confirm if you would like to continue with the treatment; otherwise, the requested treatment will not be issued.
Finally, click the “Submit” button.
Once your online intake form has been completed, your information will be added to your chart for review by Freddie's clinical team.
If additional information is needed before issuing a prescription for your requested treatment, your Freddie clinician will reach out to you via clinical message in your Freddie patient portal. They will ask any necessary questions and confirm if the medication is the right fit for you.
If you're eligible, any additional treatment prescriptions you requested will be sent out along with your next PrEP renewal.
What if I need to refill my additional treatments before my regular PrEP renewal?
If you need to refill your additional treatment prescription before your next PrEP renewal, or if you believe there was an error in your questionnaire responses, please reach out to our Support Team so that we can guide you on the next steps.
If you use our partner pharmacy, Affirming Care Pharmacy, to fill your prescriptions, please note that there may be an additional delivery cost since the additional treatment prescription would not be delivered with your regular PrEP renewal.
