We understand that it can be concerning if you haven’t heard from the pharmacy after receiving notification that your prescription has been issued. Here’s what you can do:
Confirm Your Prescription Has Been Issued
Log in to your Freddie patient portal to confirm that a prescription has been issued recently. You can find this information directly on the dashboard or under the 'Prescriptions' section in the portal.
Allow Time for Processing
After your prescription is sent to the pharmacy, it may take up to 24 hours for them to process and prepare your medication. During busy periods, processing times may take longer.
Confirm Contact Information
The pharmacy will reach out to you to confirm pick-up or shipping details once your prescription is ready. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date with the pharmacy to avoid any delays.
Contact the Pharmacy Directly
If you haven’t heard from the pharmacy after 3 business days, or if you need your medication more urgently, please contact them directly to check on the status of your prescription.
Early Renewals
If your prescription renewal is issued but you still have an adequate supply of pills on hand from your last renewal, this may be considered an early renewal by the pharmacy. The pharmacy team will then reach out to you when you have 5-7 pills remaining according to their records. If you find that you have less than 7 pills on hand and have yet to hear from the pharmacy, please contact the pharmacy directly to check on the status of your prescription.
