Quebec: You can find a list of providers in Quebec here
Nova Scotia: You can visit a variety of sexual health clinics across Nova Scotia. Both generic and branded Truvada has been recently added to the approved Nova Scotia Pharmacare drug list.
Yukon: The provincial government medical plan covers PrEP for those who qualify. You can book an appointment with the Yukon Sexual Health Clinic, 867-393-6635, or a general practitioner. A quick note on the process, you receive a prescription from a healthcare provider and renewals through your sexual health clinic.
North West Territories: Please call the Yellowknife Sexual Health Clinic at 867-446-5113 for more information. There are no government financial assistance programs for PrEP.
Nunavut: Please email the Nunavut sexual health department (sexualhealth@gov.nu.ca) for more information on the process. There are no government financial assistance programs for PrEP.
Newfoundland and Labrador: You can visit Planned Parenthood NL Sexual Health Centre to start your journey, where a clinician will assess your eligibility, order lab work, and issue a prescription. Newfoundland & Labrador's drug plan now covers the cost of PrEP, as an HIV prevention medication.
Prince Edward Island: Your province provides full coverage to high-risk individuals through a specific drug program for PrEP. You can be prescribed PrEP through the Women's Wellness Program & Sexual Health Services.
New Brunswick: PrEP is usually covered if you are insured under the New Brunswick Prescription Drug Program. Call them here for more information for your eligibility: 1-855-540-7325. Contact these sexual health clinics to see if PrEP is a good fit.
