At Freddie, we welcome patients from outside Canada who are temporarily visiting the country and are interested in accessing not only PrEP, but also STI prevention, and other additional treatments we offer. Our services are currently available in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Before getting started, there are a few important details to keep in mind.

Consultation:
- Our virtual consultations are free of charge. You can speak with our clinical team to discuss PrEP, DoxyPEP (for STI prevention), ask questions, and receive guidance on your ongoing sexual health.
Lab Testing and Prescriptions:
- International patients are responsible for the cost of any lab testing and prescriptions.
- Labs are required to ensure that PrEP is safe and appropriate for you.
- All prescribed medications must be paid for directly through the pharmacy, whether it is a partner or non-partner pharmacy.
Travel Insurance:
- If you have travel or international health insurance, please check with your provider to see if PrEP-related labs and medications are covered under your plan. Coverage can vary, so it’s important to confirm before proceeding.
Getting Started:
To get started with your Freddie journey, simply create a Freddie account and schedule a consultation, whether through secure messaging, phone, or an in-person appointment (available in Ontario and Alberta). Our clinical team will guide you through the process, review your labs, and help you obtain your prescription.
